Treetop Academics LLC offers after-school enrichment classes to elementary and middle-school students in the Eugene-Springfield area. We are currently looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and professional individuals who are dedicated to providing educational opportunities to students in a manner that is both best for kids, and supportive to the academic goals of our schools. Starting in January, Treetop Academics is looking to fill multiple positions, and at multiple schools, in Art, Science, and Spanish. June 15-19 at Lane Community College in Eugene
5-Day Figure Sculpture Intensive!

In this workshop Lisa Clague will share her exploration of dipping fabric, stuffed animals and metal in casting slip to create interesting sculptural forms. This workshop will provide a wide range of information that opens doors to exciting possibilities with clay.
The workshop size is limited to 15. Prerequisite knowledge of handbuilding skills is essential to your success and enjoyment of this workshop.
- Explore the human figure in combinations of clay, fabric and metal.
- Take a field trip to local thrift shops and hardware stores to gather materials.
- Construct a medium-to-life-size torso.
- Learn multiple surface treatments, glazes, and post-fired finishes, such as powdered metals, graphite, and encaustic wax.
- Observe hands-on demonstrations and slide presentations.
- Firing and finishing techniques will be discussed.

Wheelthrowing and Handbuilding
Cost is $240.00 for six sessions, which you can use whenever you want. Fee covers everything. Student lab times available for $10 per hour. Private tutoring sometimes available at $60 per two-hour session, tailored for you.

This is a special configuration of two 1227 kilns made especially to work together harmoniously stacked for firing your tall clay sculptures! They work beautifully at lowfire or highfire temperatures, and they are real powerhouses.
They ALSO work perfectly as two separate kilns!
- Two years old.
- Less than 60 firings!
- Kilns are in great shape.
- Elements are in great shape too!
- The bottom row of brick in the bottom kiln is a little thinner, compressed by the weight of stacking the kilns.
- Kilns will be ready to sell as a pair or separately on May 18, 2014.
